Ché Thomas
Officer Manager

Ché Thomas is the Office Manager at the Development Finance Authority of Summit County, where she manages daily operations, supports executive leadership, and strengthens internal systems to enhance organizational efficiency and mission alignment. She brings over a decade of public service experience across state, federal, and local government, as well as the nonprofit sector—focused on operational excellence and community impact.

An Akronite deeply committed to her hometown, Ché began her public service career at the state level, working on initiatives to improve government responsiveness and accessibility. She later supported veterans through casework in the offices of U.S. Senators, helping constituents navigate complex federal processes. Her local government experience includes operational work in public housing, and in the nonprofit sector, she has contributed to community-building efforts that prioritize equity, access, and long-term development.

What Ché enjoys most about her role at DFA is knowing that the operational support she provides to her colleagues plays a direct role in empowering small local businesses. For her, each day is an opportunity to ensure that behind-the-scenes work drives a meaningful impact in the community.

She holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Akron and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Kent State University. Ché is known for her strategic mindset, process improvement skills, and collaborative approach to solving challenges in mission-driven environments.

Outside of work, Ché is committed to health and wellness, engaging in regular strength training and Pilates. She also values personal growth and stays connected to her community through volunteer work and service.
