See how we’ve made a difference.
Since DFA’s founding in 1999, we have driven economic development in Summit County, Northeast Ohio, and beyond by pursuing creative, innovative capital solutions that strengthen local cooperation and expand opportunities.

Since 1999, we have supported hundreds of projects throughout the state of Ohio.
Impact by Entity
Development Finance Authority
The Development Finance Authority of Summit County (DFA) has helped transform neighborhoods across Ohio through strategic public finance solutions. From Toledo to Dayton and beyond, our projects span the state and support investments in real estate, energy conservation, and technology, driving economic growth, improving infrastructure, and creating measurable impact.
Development Fund of the Western Reserve
Through our NMTC program, Development Fund of the Western Reserve (DFWR) brings critical investment to 34 counties across Ohio. Using a federal tax incentive, we direct resources into businesses that revitalize urban and rural areas. Our work spans community, hospitality, and manufacturing facilities turning capital into results that matter.
Western Reserve Community Fund
Working throughout a 5-county radius (Summit, Stark, Portage, Medina, and Wayne), Western Reserve Community Fund (WRCF) empowers local communities to strengthen small businesses, support non-profits, and create lasting economic opportunities that transform neighborhoods and lives.
